Anthotype Workshop

Join visual artist Olga Suchanova and discover a rare

historical process of Anthotype printing.

Anthotypes are a photographic process invented by

the British scientist John Herschel in 1842. I will guide

you through extracting the emulsion from the plant

specimens to producing a finished print.  After

the workshop you will be able to take home and

use the skills you have learnt to create your own art. Since

this unique process can take up to a week or more

to expose, each student will leave with their own framed

print to expose at home.

A selection of pre-picked plants will be available to use.
